Cavotec is a global engineering group that enables industries worldwide to improve productivity, safety and sustainability.
Cavotec delivers power transmission, distribution and control technologies that form the link between fixed and mobile equipment in the Ports & Maritime, Airports, Mining & Tunnelling and General Industry sectors.
All design and manufacture of Cavotec systems takes place at our nine Centres of Excellence. Through a strong emphasis on quality and innovation our engineers are capable of providing durable solutions to industry operators throughout the world.
Furthermore, our sales companies in 35 countries around the globe, provide our customers with local support backed by a global network of engineering expertise.

MoorMaster™ is a vacuum-based automated mooring technology that eliminates the need for conventional mooring lines. Remote controlled vacuum pads recessed in, or mounted on, the quayside, moor and release vessels in seconds.

The technology dramatically improves safety and operational efficiency, and also enables ports to make infrastructure savings. It has performed more than 54,500 mooring operations at ferry, bulk handling, Ro-Ro, container and lock applications around the world.

Concern over air quality in harbours has led to growing pressure on port operators to reduce carbon and nitrogen dioxide emissions. Alternative Maritime Power (AMP) is a cold ironing system which allows ships to turn off their engines when in port, and plug into shore-side electricity supply, thus helping to bring cleaner air to ports and surrounding communities.
Cavotec’sAlternative Maritime Power systems can be fitted on ships, or, space permitting, on quaysides. We offer shore to ship power connections, as well as deck and barge-based units.

We have led the field in the development and manufacture of electric motorised cable reels in the ports and maritime sector for more than four decades. Pioneering electric cable reels for horizontal and vertical applications, Cavotec also produces products such as the ‘Pull and Store’ reel.

Panzerbelt is a patented system designed to protect power cables from damage caused by growing traffic volumes in the world’s ports and terminals. The cable protection systems prevent spillages seeping into cable channels and is sufficiently durable to withstand heavy port vehicles.

Panzerbelt has demonstrated its reliability in over 500 applications in ports around the world and it is one of the most efficient cable protection systems.

Cavotec’s low and medium voltage electrical power connectors are designed to meet the intense demands of the ports and maritime sector, and meet a vast array of industry requirements.
Customers have the option of ordering our electrical power connectors and plug & sockets pre-fitted in standard units, including short-circuit breakers. Cavotec also produces a comprehensive range of multi-pin outlets for control cables, manufactured for an upper limit of 50 pins and 15 Amps.

Gessmannindustrial controllers and switches, marketed by Cavotec, are used in a wide range of applications, including crane operating systems, remote controls and welding machine controls.
Our range of industrial controllers also comprises crane tecnology and crane controllers for specialised nautical applications, and for sites with a high explosion risk.
Gessmann products are marketed by Cavotec in the following countries: Argentina, Australia, China, Hong Kong, New Zealand, Norway, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom and United States of America.

BrevettiPorts and maritime operators are using cable chains increasingly frequently on long travel distances as an alternative to conductor bars and festoon systems. Our power chains offer users the following advantages:

  • Combined transportation of hydraulic cables and tube
  • Uninterrupted operation in harsh environments
  • High speed and acceleration
  • Reduced maintenance costs and installation times

Tough, varied and customized - our steel cable chains guarantee operators the safest and most reliable cable protection. Supplied by Cavotec, Brevetti chains have been adapted and tailored to meet thousands of industry needs globally and have become a favourite for offshore operators around the world.

Cavotec is a leading manufacturer of radio remote controls (RRC) that ensure safe and efficient operations at applications worldwide.
Cavotec Micro-control’s advanced RRC systems are used in the harshest of operating en-vironments in the offshore energy and maritime sectors.
Cavotec RRCs are manufactured and tested in accordance with ATEX and IEC certifications.

Cables pay a key role in the ports and maritime sector. Cavotec supplies a wide range of cables varying from standard power cables to highly advanced power and signal cables. Depending on customer needs, our cables can also be supplied with fiber optics connector and Kevlar.

Cavotec’s comprehensive range of slip ring columns (collector columns) supply electrical power or signalling to wide range of applications across the ports and maritime sector. All our slip ring columns feature a unique multi-contact patented brush gear and can be tailored to specific customer requirements, including high voltage and high amperage applications.
